Drone

These three drone films capture the quiet, timeless rhythm of the Finnish archipelago around our summer cottage. From low, skimming passes over polished rock and pine-framed shores to wide, sweeping views of scattered islands and open sea, the videos explore how light, water and landscape shape each other from dawn to dusk.

Filmed in changing weather during one summer, they focus on subtle movement: ripples on calm bays, shifting clouds over granite, and narrow waterways threading between islands. Together, they offer a personal, aerial sketchbook of a place where land breaks into sea, and silence becomes the strongest element in the frame.

For drone shots I used a DJI Mavic Air, which I aquired in the summer of 2020 to amuse myself during the pandemic. It was used actively until 2022, after which i quitely retired the old thing.
